I know that you need to go check your eye twice a year but i usually go the other way round, once every 2 years. With blurry vision I went to check how bad my prescription get. The glasses person ask if i want to have the lens thin out. Yes, my sight get worsen to the point that bro think I maybe want the more expensive lens.

Lens Index Comparison

By the illustration I was surprised with a lot of thing. First, old lens back in the day use index 1.5 which thicker than the basic lens nowadays (index 1.56). The glasses person asked if i want to buy index 1.6 which I refuse. The cheaper the better, also I dont use frameless glasses so it doesnt really matter.

The thing that surprised the most is the cyl. I was aware that I have that but the previous glasses guy said I maybe better not to be prescribe the cyl. Since my prescription increase quite high, thus better just minus only at that time. Now I need both since ignoring the cyl just isnt the option. Short length like writing or using phone was fine but cyl is important for seeing further.

The first thing that i notice after changing glasses was “everything feel squizeed”. All things that I saw feel both make sense and wrong at the same time. I felt like closer to the ground, especially when I use the bike. It felt terrifying. I also feel shorter because of that. Nobody said anything about this, am I the only one that feel this?
