I never really go outside on witching hour when I was growing up. The moment I move out however me going to convinience store at 5 in the morning isn’t that rare.
It started with bank. Spesific banks are being locked on the gate even tho the ATM is inside the gate. Not connected to the bank building itself but seperated, so you can’t go pull out your cash before 7 in the morning.
I’m curious with different types of restaurant, so one day I went to a local chain burger. There’s a “24 hours” sign in front of the place. I arrived at 11.15-ish when the man mopping the floor said “close at 11, maybe come tomorrow at 8” … 24 hour weekly or what?
There’s a gathering of me and several friends. I heard one of them said “why pharmacy here that labeled 24 close at night” I was confused “is it?” “Yeah, I need to find other place, so annoying”. Base on my experience, some place have this tiny window opening to allow transaction. You press a bell, the pharmacist appear, you tell what medicine and pay, the pharmacist give the receipt and medicine. Some allow you to come inside but you still to press the bell/button to summon the pharmacist. Sometimes there’s no sign of pharmacist existance. Either go to other place or just keep pressing the bell in case the worker fall asleep.
